● Students must remove their shoes before stepping off the entry way mat and store them in the shoe rack provided.
● Grip socks are essential for reformer pilates. Grip socks are mandatory for all sessions.
● Coats must be hung up on the appropriate pegs provided.
● Belongings or bags must be placed in the under carriage boxes.
● No food is allowed in the studio.
● Water is allowed in the studio in a sealed water bottle only. No plastic cups allowed. This is to minimise spillages.
● First aid kit is stored in the cupboard on the wall.
● Accident log is kept next to the first aid kit.
● Mats are to be put away and stored in the corner of the rooms after each exercise class.
● No student must touch any of the Pilates machinery without prior consent of the instructor.
● The mirrors are safety backed and fitted with metal screws into the wall and checked weekly.
● The only electrical equipment is the radiator and 4 electrical sockets. No water is allowed near the speaker or electrics.
● Suitable attire to be worn to attend group classes. Leggings, jogging bottoms, t-shirt, sweat shirt, shorts, leotards are all acceptable forms of fitness clothing.
● No smoking is allowed on the premises.
● All exercise machines and springs are to be checked regularly to ensure screws and fittings are in good working order and secure.
● Machines and small equipment are to be stored in the corner of the room along the back wall when not in use.
● Check and keep safe the manufacturers guidelines for using and maintenance of equipment.

Iona Studio Risk Assessment Policy

BOOKINGS:
– Members are responsible for booking and monitoring their own sessions through their personal accounts.
– All bookings can be created and managed via Mind Body scheduling.
– Class sizes are limited and so all bookings are based on first come first serve basis so please make sure you book in advance to avoid disappointment.
LATENESS:
– Please arrive at least 5-10 minutes before the start of class. Late entry will not be permitted for safety reasons, as late arrivals may increase the risk of injury.
GRIP SOCKS:
– Grip socks are mandatory for all Reformer Pilates sessions.
CANCELLATIONS:
– Iona Studio is an exclusive studio, and spaces are limited. We have a 12-hour cancellation policy to allow others to take your spot if you are unable to attend.
– If you adhere to the cancellation policy, your missed class will be credited to your account and remain valid for the duration of the package you have purchased.
– However, if you cancel your class less than 12 hours before the class is scheduled to start or you are a ‘no show’ you will be charged the full cost of the class.
GENERAL:
– The exercise program we create for you is based on sound teaching practices and the information you have provided in your PARQ (Physical Activity Readiness
Questionnaire) and your responses to health checks conducted at the beginning of each class.
– Your privacy is important to us. All personal data provided in the PARQ will be handled in compliance with GDPR.
– Failure to complete the PARQ may result in being unable to participate in the class.
– It is your responsibility to inform us of any changes in your medical condition as soon as you become aware of them. If you experience pain or dizziness during a
class, you should immediately stop and consult a doctor.
– In the event of any injury during a class, you must inform your instructor immediately.
– Iona Studio accepts no liability for any injury or death resulting from participation in classes.
– I agree to complete a Physical Activity Readiness Questionnaire (PARQ) prior to my first class at Align by Ally. This form will be emailed to me and will remain valid for 12 months from the date of completion.
– When I complete this emailed form, I declare that I have completed this questionnaire truthfully, comprehensively and to the best of my ability.
UPDATE TO TERMS:
Iona Studio reserves the right to update these Terms and Conditions. Clients will be notified of any changes via email and instagram.
