Pilates and nutrition all under the one roof

About IONA Studio

I’m Fiona — a registered nutritionist (RNutr) with over 10 years of experience helping people improve their health through nutrition, lifestyle, and movement. I’ve worked with clients in areas such as performance nutrition, diabetes, gut health, weight management, and sustainable eating.

My passion for health started young, when a family member struggled with an eating disorder. It taught me the power of food, and how essential it is to have a healthy, positive relationship with what we eat. Over the years, I’ve seen again and again that change isn’t about quick fixes or crash diets — it’s about support, compassion, and creating habits that last. That’s the heart of how I work: with empathy, encouragement, and a belief that everyone deserves to feel good in themselves.

Pilates has been a huge part of that for me personally which is why I decided to become an instructor. It’s not just movement — it’s my reset button. It strengthens my body, calms my mind, and brings me back to myself. Pilates gives me energy, improves my mood, and has been a key part of my own happiness and wellbeing. That’s why I knew this studio had to combine Nutrition and Pilates: because together, they’re such a powerful way to support both body and mind.

This isn’t just a studio; it’s a community I’ve always dreamed of creating. A place where everyone belongs, where movement and food are about balance and joy, not restriction. Here, you’ll find connection, encouragement, and the space to grow stronger, healthier, and happier — not just for today, but for life.

Absolutely! Pilates is great for all fitness levels. Beginners are encouraged to start with foundational classes to learn proper technique and build strength gradually.

For noticeable improvements in strength, flexibility, and posture, 2–3 sessions per week is ideal. Consistency is key!

Mat Pilates uses body weight and minimal equipment, while Reformer Pilates uses a machine with springs and pulleys to provide resistance and support. Both offer great benefits, just with different approaches.
